Vision Capital Advisors is a New York-based hedge fund.
Vision Capital and its Vision Opportunity China Fund (AIM: VOC.L) were the biggest investors in the private stock placements that accompanied the creation of China Fire & Security Inc. (Nasdaq: CFSG), China Bio Energy Holding Group Ltd. (OTCBB: CBEH.OB), QKL Stores Inc. (OTCBB: QKLS.OB), and a Chinese valve company that was merged into a shell company called Southern Sauce Co. (OTCBB: SOSA.OB).
The hedge fund got stock and warrants in all four of the companies. SEC filings show that it cashed in its original stake in China Fire last year. However, it later took a new stake in the company, buying shares on the open market this spring.
